The international project KA210-YOU “I, YOU, WE, THEY CAN” implemented in partnership by the Equality Association (MKD), Stowarzyszenie Rozprawy o Europie (POL) and Ayuntamiento de Alzira (SPA). The project “I, YOU, WE, THEY CAN” will enable the exchange of innovative and inclusive practices and methodologies in the approach, communication and work of social, medical and educational professionals with young people with disabilities, even in underdeveloped conditions, in all three partner countries – Macedonia, Poland and Spain.
Mission
The focus of the project is for professionals from the three countries, Macedonia, Poland, Spain, to share experiences and positive practices through 3 camps in those same countries, to acquire efficient inclusive tools and approaches for communication, access and work with young people with various disabilities. Central to these joint efforts will be the co-creation of the “Handbook for Supporting and Facilitating Social, Medical and Educational Professionals in Working with Young People with Disabilities”, the creation of which will result directly from life experiences and through the process of joint learning.
Results
This project will aim to foster cross-sectoral collaboration to improve social, health and educational services in accessing, communicating and working with young people with different disabilities, in an inclusive manner; create opportunities for participants to acquire practical skills and inclusive methodologies; create space for professional and cultural exchange and create lasting impact through sharing positive and innovative practices.
Expected results: 1. Increased capacities of the 3 organizations for implementing international projects. 2. Improved skills of 18 professionals working with young people with disabilities in the camp and improved methods/practices for professionals in social/health and educational institutions. 3. Direct participation of at least 30 people with disabilities. 4. Increased awareness through the produced documentary.
