The first of the three transnational camps was held in Skopje, and it kicked-off with an inspirational forum as the final activity of the 4th inFusion - Festival of Inclusion.
🤝 During the second day, we shared our experiences and views, and emphasized the need to improve the conditions for the inclusion of people with functional differences in all societal levels.
The first meeting was attended by representatives from the Municipality of Kisela Voda, who presented to the participants the initiatives they are working on in the area of active inclusion of persons with disabilities in society.
The meetings continued with representatives from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as with the participation of the Director of the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination.
🏢 The third day was dedicated to study visits to relevant associations and institutions:
– KRIK Occupational Therapy Center.
– Montessori Center.
– Daycare center ‘Dose of Happiness’.
All above mentioned subjects are dedicated to recreation and support for people with disabilities.
We discussed the challenges and insufficiencies that exist in the system, exchanged opinions and experiences in accessing people with disabilities, including functional methodologies and strategies implemented in Macedonia, Spain and Poland.
✈️ In the second phase of the project, we will have the opportunity to experience good systemic practices applied in Spain (Alzira, Valencia region), while in the third and final phase, the focus will be on getting to know successful examples from Poland (Kielce region).
The project aims to improve the quality of services, communication and access of professionals to people with disabilities through the exchange of good practices and the creation of a Handbook for services in the social, educational and health sectors.
🌍 We look forward to continuing to learn, exchange and share experiences to create a better, more empathetic and inclusive world.
Be a part of shaping more inclusive services and building a better future together!
