On September 25, on the recognizable terrace of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje, the Equality Association will expand the horizons of Skopje’s fashion culture, promoting high values of social inclusion and an open society through the event ZEN Inclusive Soirée.
The ZEN Inclusive Soirée event aims to provide a unique experience to 31 people with disabilities by creating an adapted wardrobe in which they will present themselves at the fashion show. This cultural event will be complemented by a unforgeable musical program, culinary delights and an exclusive exhibition of portraits of the people with a mission, which will be enjoyed by the audience from the fashion and cultural world.
The Inclusive Soirée is an event where the main actors will be the people with unique abilities, directly involved in the process of modeling and creating the collection of adapted wardrobe made to individual measure. It will be presented in full after the event to these people, who will proudly walk the catwalk and have the opportunity to articulate their challenges and abilities, as well as promote the need for their active social inclusion and improvement of the quality of life .
Through the fashion show, the ZEN* brand, founded by the Equality Association with a social mission – to provide support to people with disabilities, to transform fashion experience from frustration to pleasure, to influence the quality of life, self-confidence and raising the level of their life independence.
The mission of the Inclusive Soirée is, through belief in a higher purpose, to create an insurmountable positive energy that will break down barriers for the most vulnerable and marginalized and to set an example of respect for mutual differences, by creating unity and creative solutions that lead to a better quality of life.
