WE CREATE POSITIVE CHANGES THROUGH INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES.

From December 1 to 5, the third and final international camp was held in Kielce, Poland, as part of the project "I, YOU, WE, THEY CAN", which was aimed at exploring successful inclusive practices in order to improve the skills of professionals from the educational, social and health sectors in Macedonia, Spain and Poland.

[Day 1] At a meeting with the Mayor of the City of Kielce, Ms. Agata Wojda, active measures to support people with disabilities were presented, followed by an exchange of experiences between the three countries in order to improve the conditions for the social, health and educational sectors. The day continued with a visit to Urban Lab – a space for active social inclusion of young people, where a meeting was held with representatives of civil society organizations operating in the field of social inclusion. During the visit to the cultural center of the City of Kielce, a discussion was held with the Regional Council on the challenges in the inclusion of people with disabilities in culture.

[Day 2] Participants visited the Care Center, which offers services and activities in the areas of music, art, cooking and life skills development, with the aim of promoting the independence of people with intellectual disabilities over the age of 18. In addition, the Special School for People with Disabilities presented its educational and training programs for people with disabilities to acquire work skills, as well as services for sensory integration and biofeedback therapy.

[Day 3] The participants also had the opportunity to learn about the activities of the Center for Social Integration and Work Training at the “Playing with You” Foundation, which employs people with disabilities in the process of producing and selling sweets and offers daily accommodation and rehabilitation for people with Alzheimer’s dementia and Parkinson’s disease. At the meeting at the Koło w Kielcach association, the participants were presented with their services for early intervention, rehabilitation, education and professional development of people with intellectual disabilities and the inspiring initiatives for long-term training and care of the beneficiaries.

“We finalized this dynamic visit with an evaluation among the partner organizations, where we shared the findings in order to strengthen cooperation and successfully create a manual that will contribute to the creation of better quality services and more appropriate access and communication for professionals and people with disabilities.” – said Gere Tripkov, one of the participants and president of the association.

With the successful completion of all three international visits, the project continues to develop and foster strong collaboration among partners, creating lasting positive changes in the community of people with disabilities.

The project is part of the Erasmus+ KA2 program in the field of youth, co-financed by the EU and supported by the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility.
