On October 7, at the City Museum in Kriva Palanka, the traveling exhibition "Live with Style - Support Diversity" will continue. This is the fifth exhibition in a series of exhibitions that will take place in two more cities across Macedonia, organized by the Equality Association, which aims to tell a powerful story through 32 portraits of people with disabilities and promote integration by celebrating human values.
A traveling exhibition is a cultural mission that will change society’s perception of people with disabilities and transform observers into initiators of positive change, social integration and even higher human values. The exhibition series “Live with Style – Support Diversity” is implemented with funds awarded within the framework of the annual competition for financing projects in the field of visual arts, architecture and design” by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
So far, the initiative to support diversity has been successfully transferred to four cities: Kruševo, Gevgelija, Resen, Veles and Kriva Palanka, and in the coming period it will continue to travel to Sveti Nikole (Primary School National Museum, October 30) and Delčevo (Primary School Center for Culture “Nikola Jonkov Vapcarov”, November 7).
“Through this traveling exhibition, we are not only exhibiting 32 portraits of people with disabilities, who tell their own stories of strength, love and their life mission, but we are also advocating for improving accessibility and breaking down social barriers in all areas,” said Ružica Stojanovska, project coordinator at the Equality Association.
The goal of the traveling exhibition is to strengthen the potential in our society and strive for even greater awareness and inclusiveness. This initiative is a project aimed specifically at smaller cities, with the aim of reaching out beyond the capital and reaching many more social groups across the entire territory.
The Equality Association, as the project leader, sets an uncompromising standard for the affirmation and promotion of equal participation in cultural and social life in Macedonia.
