The first study visit of the initial phase of the ID:CITIZEN project will take place in Warsaw, Poland, from 1 to 5 September 2025. This is the first of two planned visits, to the cities of Warsaw and Bratislava, which will focus on innovative practices in the areas of accessibility, inclusive urban planning and cultural participation of people with disabilities. <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The ID: CITIZEN project aims to reduce the cultural, social and architectural exclusion of 20% of the population \u2013 people with disabilities from the four countries of the partner organizations \u2013 Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, providing them with a better quality of life in terms of social inclusion and participation.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Through meetings with relevant ministries, visits to public institutions, socially responsible companies and the Urban Planning Department of the City of Warsaw, this project will contribute to modernizing and improving current inclusive practices, exchanging experiences between experts in the target areas and encouraging changes in the implementation of new, or revising existing international practices, with the aim of faster and more efficient inclusive solutions in the area of \u200b\u200burban planning and accessibility in public spaces.<\/p>

\u201cThe ID:CITIZEN project will help raise public understanding of inclusiveness and provide sustainable methods and guidelines for advocating for inclusive policies and eliminating barriers. The exchange of experiences will also contribute to strengthening processes for supporting people with disabilities in the target countries of Central and Eastern Europe.\u201d \u2013 said Ru\u017eica Stojanovska, the coordinator of the Equality Association.<\/p>

The ultimate goal of the project is to produce a comprehensive document \u201cPolicy Recommendations for Improved Inclusion\u201d, which will guide institutions, policymakers, and public actors towards creating more constructive processes in enabling inclusive environments in Central and Eastern Europe.<\/p>

The project is implemented in partnership with the Equality Association (Macedonia) with the Integration Foundation (Poland), the Tenenet Association (Slovakia) and the Hand in Hand Organization (Hungary), and is being implemented with the support of the International Visegrad Fund, to encourage and improve regional cooperation between civil society organizations, exchange of experiences and promote mutual understanding.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
